Funeral Options

  • You may already have a family grave or plot. We can arrange for this to be reopened and the headstone removed before burial
  • There are several types of cemetery to choose from, such as:
  • Lawn cemeteries. Here each grave is covered with grass and marked with a commemorative plaque placed horizontally at the head of the grave at ground-level and;

  • Monumental cemeteries. Where headstones or other monuments made of marble, granite or similar materials rise vertically above the ground

  • Cremations can cost less than a burial
  • The funeral service can be held at the crematorium; most will have a chapel
  • The service may also take place in a church or another location before going to the crematorium
  • You will need to decide the final resting place of the ashes. You can keep the ashes in an urn, scatter or bury them

Memorial Service

  • A memorial is generally a funeral service without the coffin present.

  • Offers family and friends the opportunity to remember and celebrate the life of your loved one

  • Express their grief and say their goodbyes in an appropriate and respectful manner.
  • Families who plan a memorial after a cremation commonly hold the service with the ashes and urn present.

  • A memorial also allows the option to include a scattering or tree-planting ceremony as part of the memorial service.

Cremation Services

The entire cremation service may be held at our Funeral Chapel, centrally located at Phoebe Crescent, Bundaberg or at your place of worship. The chapel is air conditioned, the Assembly Area is available for refreshments and fellowship after the service. Ample off-street parking is available.

Placement of Ashes

This is a family decision. A range of urns are available from our office. Ashes may be placed at Springfield Gardens Crematorium, Elliot Heads or another position of family choosing.

Some families choose to have the ashes of a loved one scattered and they do this in a place where they feel comfortable.

A placement service can also be held at Springfield Gardens at Elliot Heads.

Burial Services

A graveside service can be part of the funeral service, occurring after a service at our chapel, your place of worship, or the graveside service can be the sole venue for the funeral service.

Burial services can be held at all cemeteries.
